The Star of Bethlehem is a comprehensive investigation of the story found in the Biblical Gospel of Matthew about the star that guided the Magi to the Christ child, combining the words of Roman and Jewish historians, the visions of ancient prophets, and a modern study of celestial objects.
Hi, I'm Rick Larson and I'm so glad you took the time to visit The Star of Bethlehem information website. I've been encouraged by the huge response and level of interest in this and my other projects.
Hello Frederick, I don’t know if you have this cited in your video or not, but if the Magi came from Babylon, then it should take over 4 months as you have shared. If you look in Ezra 7:8 & 9, it shows Ezra making it to Jerusalem in 4 months. The part that tells me it should have taken the Magi longer is in vs 9 where it says “for the gracious hand of his God was on him.” To me this implies he made it there at a record pace!! Also, the Magi would have had no hurry because they were waiting for the stars.
Just thought I would share that with you,
Mark
I hope that I get a chance to use this at some point. Thank you!
Hi,
just wondering what you’re thoughts are on the significance (if any) of the celestial alignment that occurred on the feast of the annunciation last year?
On March 25, 2012, millions of Christians (Catholic and Orthodox) will celebrate the “Annunciation” – which commemorates the conception of Jesus. This March 25, there will be a neat astronomical arrangement in the sky, that seems to mesh nicely. See the description below:
The sky will be spectacular in the west after sunset on March 25, 2012, with the waxing crescent moon and the planet Jupiter very close to each other in the evening twilight sky. Plus Venus is nearby – the sky’s brightest planet. You’ll see Jupiter and the moon below Venus in the west after sunset. The famous Pleiades star cluster is above Venus.
P.S just watched the STAR OF BETHLEHEM again & it’s really amazing..shed a few tears in the end thinking about it all
Hi there. Did you receive my comment?
I’m not sure. Send it to Ricklarson@mail.com.
Oops! Only just seen this. Strange, I posted a comment but it never appeared. Thanks, and I’ve sent you an email.
Have you looked into the 4 blood moons with a solar eclipse in the middle over jerusalem? Coinciding with the goal date to end peace talks with Israel/palestine ? Could this be the building of the temple ?
